Latest News
After the weather the last few weeks we have decided to extend this session by 3 weeks. This week the beginners will be doing 5 mins walking 6 mins continious and 1 min walking 1 min jogging the rest of way, which we were supposed to do last week. However as we say week in and week out please just come along and do what you are comfortable doing. All the leaders are dedicated to helping you improve your fitness so please do not be put off if you missed last week because of the bad weather. Please keep coming and we will work with you.

Wednesday night we have our Health Fair and it promises to be a great night, and you could win a Garmin GPS watch which is the top prize in our free draw. As you enter the Health Fair you will be given a free prize draw voucher simply complete the voucher and you could win the watch or one of our 10 prizes!! More details of the Health Fair are in my previous blog. So you dont lose out we are providing an extra free session on Friday night so please join us 6.30pm at Catto Park if your are available.
This afternoon a few of us doing a "trial" half marathon as practice for the Inverness Half Marathon in a few weeks. If anyone said 10 years ago i would have been able jog/run 13 Miles distance i would have said no way, it only comes with practice, just ask any of our leaders. Most of then started in the beginners group as well and have gone on to do a Half or Full Marathon which just brillant.
What is your goal at the end of the day. Whatever it is we will work with you to achieve it, whilst having fun at the sametime and thats a promise from me!! If you have any questions or comments simply click here???

Peterhead to Fraserburgh Beach Run
Ten of our completed the Peterhead to Fraserburgh Beach which was a fantastic achievement. Well done to Cameron Robertson who came 5th with very little training. A special word about Michael Allardyce who was orginally going jog to Scotstown and back, but decided to run all the way, well done Michael your a star!!

RUN4IT Open Night
One of the main comments that Jenny from the Injury Time Clinic made was that a few of the people that came to see her had the wrong type of training shoes. To help with this we have organised a free bus to RUN4IT in Aberdeen were they are having a special open night for our members only. A 15% discount will be offered on the night, and they will be having a special prize draw were someone will win a pair of trainers on the night. Bus leaves the Catto Park at 5.15pm we will be still taking names for the bus tomorrow night.

Andy Davidson in Angola
Hope you like the photograph of Andy Davidson . It was taken offshore Angola beside the Kizomba B FPSO. Andy enters our T Shirt Competition the winner will be announced at our AGM in May. London Marathon
In case you dont know we have Carol & Stuart Main and Adam Ritchie running the London Marathon in aid of Fertility Scotland. Fertility Scotland supports the Edinburgh Assisted Conception Programme which has been providing high quality Assisted Conception Treatment since 1991. They bring together a unique combination of medical, scientific and embryological staff from the NHS and outstanding local academic communities.To support Carol Ann, Stuart and Adam going to the donation website here or they will have sponsor forms available on a Monday or Wednesday night. Injury Time Physiotherapy Clinic
Fantastic news for a trial period Jenny Johnson (Monday night) and Simon Walker(Wednesday night)from the Injury Time Physiotheraphy Clinic Burnside Centre Peterhead will be in attendence between 7.15-8.15pm after our jogging sessions to offer advice on sport injuries/ strain/niggles. So for example if you a slight problem with your knee pain, they will on hand to give some advice to hopefully prevent it getting worse. All the leaders are keen on prevention, as is Jenny and Simon, and if we can get professional advice to you to stop an injury getting so much the better. We must emphasis these appointments are for advice only, and to be fair to everyone will only last about 5 mins.
If you do need treatment/physiotherapy in which ever form Jenny or Simon recommend you can book and appointment at a reduced rate for Peterhead Jogscotland members by producing your Peterhead Jogscotland membership card, which we will be producing and handing out this week. We hope that everyone including Jenny and Simon will benefit from new partnership. If you have a sports injury at this time which needs treatment we recommend you contact Simon and Jenny direct on 01779 822000 for an appointment. Until we get our card made, just shown your Jogscotland membership card or your Peterhead Jogscotland Code of Conduct card.
