New Group Structure
First of all its was great to see so much of you join us this week, our numbers are growing all the time!!
As many of you know when we start our new beginners programme on Monday 26th January we are changing the structure of our group. Instead of having two groups we will have three.
Beginners 1-3 k
Intermediate 3-6k
Advanced 5-10k
Each group will last for 10 weeks
Before you move to the next group you must be able to jog the whole way continuous if not you stay in the same group. As a guide we recommend for the Intermediate Group you are able to jog continuously for 15-20minutes, and for the Advance Group 30- 35 minutes continously
Children under the age of 8 will only be allowed to join the beginners group. Children between the ages of 8 and Academy Age will only be allowed to join the Beginners or Intermediate Groups. Young people of Academy age will allowed to join the Advanced group, however under the age of 14 they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
As result of these changes we are training some more leaders, and we hope have 4 leaders for each group when we start on the 26th.
We hoping these changes will encourage even more people to join Peterhead Jogscotland and get active in the Bluetoon!!!
Thanks to each and everyone of you for your continued support, and if you have any questions dont hestitate to get in touch.

Peterhead to Fraserburgh Beach Run
Best wishes to everyone who is taking part in the annual Peterhead to Fraserburgh beach run tomorrow morning. We start from the Peterhead Golf Club carpark on Saturday at 9am and hope to complete it in less than 3 hours.
If you fancy a jog why not join us at Scotstown beach and run with us to Rattray Head, this would take approximately 30 minutes and is a lovely run. I did it a few days ago i really enjoyed it. Dont worry the tide will be out so you will be jogging on hard sand and it is really flat just now.
The road down to Scotstown beach at St Fergus has been lately been all tarred and is a really good road, their is carpark provided just at the beach, we will at Scotstown at approximately 9.30 am if interested. If want any further information give me a call.
John Ross Home for the New Year Celebrations!!!
whilst standing beside an Apache Attack helicopter.
The great news is that John Ross has been home for the New Year celebrations!!! John serving with the Royal Engineers in Iraq telephoned Hazel from London on Tuesday and told her to pick him up from Aberdeen Airport at night!! John is back in the country to do a course and when it is finished he will be returning to Iraq.
We wish John and all his colleagues in the Royal Engineers a very happy, and healthy 2009, and we look forward to your safe return to the UK soon.
