Welcome to our 90 New Beginners!!

It was fanastic to see so many beginners along on Monday and Wednesday night, i hope you enjoyed our first sessions and remember if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. All our jogscotland leaders are only to willing to help you acheive your aim of getting fitter and more active. On Monday night we start our 3rd Charity Weight Loss Challenge (CWLC) which will last for 15 weeks till Wed 16th December. The CWLC is completely voluntary and costs only £5 in total!! At the end of the Jog session on Monday night Diane will be the room to take a register of your weight. From then on its up to you, you can get weighed ever Monday or Wednesday or once a month the choice is yours?? The CWLC is kept completly confidential. Even if have only a few pounds to lose why not join in, to be realistic you wont probably win it, however its all in the name of Charity and it could give you the incentive to loss that few pounds you have been looking to lose for a while. Last time i lost about 5Ibs overall and was pleased enough. On the other hand Stewart Robertson lost an amazing 2 Stones 7ibs and the group lost an incredible 20 stones, on average that was a half stone per person which was fanastic. Help us beat that total this time!!! I have never done this before so i am setting everyone that takes part the goal to loss 8Ibs, that includes yours truly, so thats just half a pound a week over the 15 weeks!! On that last night everyone who loses that 8Ibs will get a special Christmas present courtesy of Peterhead Jogscotland (and no it wont be a selection box ha ha!!). Remember we are not asking you to go on a diet but just to eat healthy (cut out the grabbage!!), and get more active Thanks to Peterhead Jogscotland offcourse. Finally last time Stewart won £200 for his choosen Charity, you never know you could be our winner come Christmas xxx

Fishie 10k

Well done to Stuart and Carol Ann Main and all those who completed the Fishie 10k on the 9th August on what was a challenging route!! A special word about Leigh Forman who finished 2nd in her age group, and Cameron Robertson who was placed 4th in his age group. Although we are primarily a group that encourages everyone to take up jogging and get more active, its fantastic to see some our group fulfilling their potential, i am positive there will be much more in the future. Watch this space!!

Stewart and June

In September two of our members Stewart Wood and June Dickie will be taking part in the Great North Run in Newcastle, in aid the wonderful charity Kidney Research UK.
Stewarts wife Jacqueline has suffered from a chronic kidney condition for many years, and they seen the benefits research can bring to dialysis over the years. The charity has invested more than £40 million in research in the last 25 years. Peterhead Jogscotland will be making a donation to this very worthwhile charity, and if would like to donate simply see Stewart and June or simply click here
